Salvia officinalis, G&A, SD, Leaves, France. Counters nervous debility, excessive sexual desire, grief, physical over-exertion and insomnia. Decongestant, treats throat and mouth infections. Estrogenic, regulates menstruation, decreases lactation and alleviates menopause symptoms. Reduces perspiration, treats oily skin. Believed to promote hair growth. Contra: Avoid use if seizures have been experienced. Use in low dilutions on the skin. External use only.
