FIBRO BLEND

FIBROMYALGIA  After all these years, Fibromyalgia still remains a mystery to the medical community. One of the latest theories is that it caused by an abnormal pain response. The musculoskeletal system seems to be involved. Through prolonged emotional stress, physical trauma, or triggered by a virus, such as Epstein Barr, a biochemical change occurs in the myofascial tissue, the thin filmy material that surrounds each tiny muscle fiber, surrounds bundles of these fibers of muscle and attaches the muscle to the bone.

This biochemical change appears as a calcification or tightening of the myofascia.The tissue becomes thick and loses its elasticity, restricts muscle movement and causes pain.  This widespread pain and decrease in movement creates a chain reaction: fatigue, insomnia, morning stiffness, non-refreshing sleep, headaches or migraines, irritable bladder and bowel, heat/cold/light/sound/smell sensitivity, all over numbness and tingling with weakness, exercise intolerance, anxiety, depression, minor agoraphobia and claustrophobia, with decreased muscle/brain communication.

Somehow, it seems that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, mononeucleosis, and fibromyalgia are all related; however, Fibromyalgia lasts longer than three months. Millions are affected worldwide; more women than men. In some families, it seems genetic. There are 12-18 pressure points on the body that are painful and used in diagnosis of the syndrome.

 

    

In 1990, Mt. Shasta Naturals began producing FIBRORUB that has proven effective for most users.  Believing that therapeutic soaking would bring additional comfort, FIBROSOAK was introduced for use in the tub.  At the suggestion of massage practitioners, FIBRORUB EXTRA was created to be used on extreme pain.

 

FIBRORUB

Fibrorub was formulated to give comfort to those with chronic pain or fibromyalgia. The rub is warming as it diminishes chronic pain.  Some with neuropathy have reported relief!.  The aroma is spicy and minty. Essential oils of cinnamon, helichrysum, peppermint, rosemary, spike lavender, wintergreen and ylang ylang.  Carrier oils of safflower, rice bran, sesame, avocado, vitamin E, evening primrose, rosehip seed, castor and caulophyllum.

FIBRORUB EXTRA

Use when your pain level is high.  Massage practitioners recommend this combination as it really packs a punch on pain and stress.  A gentle warmth soothes a painful body.  The aroma is spicy, minty and herby.  Essential oils of cinnamon, cypress, helichrysum, hyssop, juniper berry, lavender, marjoram, peppermint, rosemary, spike lavender, white camphor, wintergreen, ylang ylang.  Carrier oils of safflower, rice bran, sesame, avocado, vitamine E, evening primrose, rosehip seed, castor and caulophyllum.

 

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:  Use FIBRORUB or FIBRORUB EXTRA to replace lotions and creams that may contain undesirable chemicals.  After bath or shower before towel drying, apply about a quarter size amount to the palm of your hand and begin at the feet, working your way up the body.  Continue applying as your skin absorbs the oil.  Observe where the pain is located and reapply an additional amount to areas of discomfort, massaging thoroughly into the skin.  Since essential oils do not build up in body tissue (unlike pharmaceuticals), you may reapply as often as necessary.  Do not use too much - a little goes a long way.  And carry it with you to use during the day to keep the pain level low.

Use FIBRORUB in massage.  Ask your massage practitioner to use it.  Some clients report that deep tissue massage elevates the level of pain - but you know your body and what is appropriate for you.

 

FIBROSOAK

The Fibrorub synergy in a mineral soak for the ultimate ‘good for you’ therapy. The aroma is spicy and minty.  Essential oils of cinnamon, helichrysum, peppermint, rosemary, spike lavender, wintegreen and ylang ylang in natural earth salts and minerals.

Caution:  As you begin to feel a lessening of symptoms, do not stop this regimen.  Essential oils do not build up in the tissue and benefits decrease the day you stop using the products.  Remember - this is not a cure.  FIBRORUB AND FOBROSOAK may help reduce pain while stimulating the immune system only when used on a continual basis over time.

Individuals with sensitive skin or allergies to the ingredients should first do a patch test on the inside of the elbow by applying FIBRORUB.  If the skin remains normal for 24 hours, the product should be safe to use.  Discontinue immediately if irritation occurs.
